I like that contracts for longterm rent are visible before renting the apartment, which was useful for my immigration into Portugal. The terms for contract termination are easier than regular in Portugal - just tell the owner 1 month in advance. Flatio is also suitable for short term rent and have some interesting flats that are not on Airbnb.

It's easy to search the map and filter by what I'm looking for. I do wish there were more filter options but understand that's not always possible. I like the list of amenities, the location view on the map, and all the safety guarantees for booking on Flatio.
