Staying in this apartment on Madeira for over two months with my wife and daughter, we couldn't have asked for a more homely experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the apartment wasn't just a place to stay; it was a home away from home. Equipped with everything we needed for day-to-day living and more. We were pleasantly surprised to find amenities such as a baby cot, potty, and high chair for our daughter, which we hadn't even requested.

The apartment itself was a gem. It exceeded our expectations, which were already high from the photos we had seen online. Featuring two terraces with breathtaking views of the ocean. These views became a part of our daily lives, from enjoying morning coffees to witnessing stunning sunsets, each moment was a delight.

We sincerely hope to return to this apartment in the future. It's rare to find a place that not only meets but exceeds your expectations, providing not just accommodation but a memorable and enriching experience. This apartment on Madeira did just that, and we look forward to the day we can come back.

We've stayed in the place for around two months and it was a great pleasure. As previous comments indicate, the place is even better than can be seen in the pictures, it's very spacious, has everything you need to live here for as long as you wish.

Since we came with a baby, the owner was kind enough to prepare a baby bed and high chair.

It also includes a private spot in the underground garage, so you will have no issues parking your car.

The roof terrace this apartment offers is amazing to watch sunsets or have a cozy dinner in a fresh air.

The communication with the owner is flawless and they are here to help you to resolve any issue you might face.

The neighborhood of Ajuda is very nice, there are plenty of families living, it feels kind of a new district with young people.

Esa's apartment is amazing! The view is breathtaking, great location and it has a very nice desk with a desk chair to be able to get work done.

Esa's son Lauri is always available in case you have any questions and showed me around the apartment when I arrived.

Madeira is a fantastic island and I will definitely be back.

The appartement is wonderful, for us was like at home. It is very spacious, comfortable, well equipped, with tasteful decorations and a special charm. We are grateful that we were hosted in this house; communication with Lauri was always easy and polite.

It was wonderful to see the sunrise from the east terrace every day; warm and cozy, a perfect winter garden. Equally great was the large terrace, overlooking the rock of Cabo Girao, where we admired the most colorful sunsets.

The wifi works great. The house has 2 workspaces, which is a great advantage for those who work remotely.

The location of the apartment was perfect for us: we were able to walk to Praia Formosa, enjoying the black sandy beach. (20 'walk). Or on the promenade right up to Camara de Lobos, a very charming fishing village (50 'walk). Equally beautiful is the walk to the center, on the promenade, near the ocean (50'walk).

There’s also Forum Madeira mall just a few minutes from the apartment - there’s Pingo Doce supermarket inside and also UauCacau with the best cakes&chocolates.

In conclusion, everything was great. I definitely recommend this apartment as a home base for exploring the beauty of Madeira. And I can't wait to get back 😊

The appartement is amazing, it has the most wonderful view from the balcony, it's full of light, you have a lot of space to move around and the little inner garden-like space is really cosy. There isn't really any neighbour around so you really have an intimate space. The Wi-Fi is great too.

It's pretty nice and quiet, it has a more local/family vibe than the city center. It's nice cause it's walkable distance to the beach, and you have everything you'd need just around the corner : bakery, fruit shop and supermarket, pharmacy, dietetic shop, cinema and a few restaurants.

Casa super confortável e aconchegante, localização perfeita, me senti realmente em casa. Tudo novo e super limpo. A vista é incrível, acordar com nascer do sol e ao final do dia ter um por do sol, realmente valeu demais. Quero voltar a Madeira e se o apartamento estiver disponível quero me hospedar nele.

Esa’s son Lauri - who lives below the apartment, is incredibly nice and helpful. The apartments’s handover went smoothly, we had no issues.
The penthouse is huge, clean and well equipped. The bigger terrace has a view of Cabo Girao - every evening we had a chance to see a wonderful sunset over the cliff and ocean. In the second terrace there were some succulents (Lauri, we hope we took a good care for them) and sometimes lizards were chilling there - it was really fun to watch them :)
We think the photos on Flatio don’t show how great the apartment is- you need to see it yourself. The price is great, so don’t hesitate - I don’t think you can find a better place in Funchal in this standard and price range.
The location is just perfect, because you can get to the city center by foot in 30 minutes and also get to the Formosa beach (great to see the sunset) in 15 minutes. Of course, if you rent a car, it will be much quicker - there’s also a garage space, so you don’t need to spend much money on parking. There’s also Forum Madeira just a few minutes from the apartment - there’s Pingo Doce inside, that’s where we bought most of our groceries.
Now the swimming pool! It’s not big, but if you don’t feel like going down to the beach or just sunbathing on terrace (by the way, the sun in August is wild - you can get sunburnt in 30 minutes), it’s really great! During the day there’s some families and children, but in the evening you can enjoy it usually just on your own. Before coming here, we had no idea about the pool (it just wasn’t a priority), so it was a really nice surprise :)
To sum up, this place is great to live - perfect spot to get to every part of Madeira, it has two big workspaces if you work remotely (and great internet connection! It’s really important), spacious kitchen and you can just chill there and enjoy the view.

I’m the neighborhood there’s a lot of hotels - this area is probably designed for tourists because it’s just next to the ocean and has a great transport connection. We haven’t seen anything unusual, the locals were nice and helpful

The island is full of places I would recommend, so I would probably have to spend an hour or more to write them down. Just enjoy the island, be open and if you need any help - there’s Lauri (and also a shelf full of guidebooks)

Amazing house, ready for you to instantly settle in. Everything you need is there, from making morning coffee to cooking a fancy dinner to having a restful night after watching a movie on the couch.
Esa is quick to respond to messages and her son Lauri, who lives downstairs, is very friendly and always available.
