Despite this, I am now being held financially responsible for the repair, which I find both unexpected and unfair. I have formally disputed the charge, as I do not believe tenants should bear the cost of maintenance issues that were reported multiple times during their stay. While I hope the owner replaces the lock to prevent future tenants from facing the same inconvenience, this situation has unfortunately left a disappointing final impression. It is disheartening that an unresolved maintenance issue has resulted in an unfair financial burden, overshadowing what was otherwise a fantastic 1.5-month stay.
