Modern Forest Apartment with WiFi – 600 per month

Carolina was responsive, flexible, and friendly. I definitely recommend her as a host. The local property management company was fine. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The surroundings of the building are beautiful. I felt completely safe there (solo female). The staff at the entrance were helpful and nice.

For a real walk or hike, you will need a car, from the building you can only walk up and down the highway which is pretty but not exactly a nature experience. (Try to get up to Parque Huerquehue which is gorgeous - there is a bus from town). If you do not have a car (I didn't) uber is an option for getting to town and back. It was not 100% reliable, but pretty good. You do have to go down to Pucón for anything and everything: groceries, restaurants, etc. It's a resort town so restaurants are quite expensive. I don't really eat out so I can't comment on the quality of the restaurants.

For me, one problem with the place was that the power went out frequently, sometimes for hours. After one storm it was out for days. No power meant I couldn't work or cook, and the place gets pretty cold (I was there in June - July).

Also, in spite of the fact that it's promoted for digital nomads, the internet was not adequate for my work which involves one-on-one online consultations with people in North America and Europe. Numerous dropped or unintelligible calls and missed meetings = really not good.

Overall this is a very nice place to stay if you don't require fast/reliable internet for your work, especially if you have a car of your own. Maybe more for vacation/relaxation than for a working nomad.

This is a condo in a pleasant complex up the road between Pucón, a summer resort town, and Villarrica volcano. There are no services outside the town.
