The apartment has a hob and microwave, but no oven. The fridge is very small.
The landlord was cooperative about getting the shades and the heat pump fixed.
Rua de Santa Catarina is in the heart of the tourist district. If you like that, fine. If not, stay away.

It is the heart of the tourist district. There are buskers all day when the weather is good. Even in the winter, the streets can be crowded. Besides the Metro, most buses start or end in Bolhão, so it is easy to get most places in Porto, once you figure out the bus routes.

Elee's, a steak place. The staff speaks English.
Gostos & Paladares, a reasonably priced Portuguese restaurant. The menu is limited, but the prices are fantastic, and the food is good. We saw police eating there, which is usually a good sign. None of the staff spoke English.
