"In times like these, running away is the only way to survive and keep dreaming." the famous quote by Henri Laborit from the introduction to the movie "Mediterraneo", with which we begin the description of the beautiful villa on the magically beautiful island of Molat.

The villa is actually a mini-castle in which there are two luxury apartments, one of which can be rented.

There is an interesting story behind this magically beautiful building, because it was built by the great-grandfather of the owner, and the villa was built of stone as part of the estate after he returned from Australia and Africa, where he searched for gold and brought ideas and inspiration from there to build the house. Later, as an entrepreneur, he built many stone houses on the island, had a woodworking shop and a travel agency, as well as shares in large ships. The house itself dates back to the 1930s.

Swimming, diving and sunbathing are more than available in Molat. Namely, two smaller beaches are located right in front of the house, and there are very few bathers because the place is not yet covered by mass tourism. The villa is located right in front of the bay and both of its beautifully decorated terraces look straight out to sea. In case you want complete isolation from every trace of civilization, just a few meters away from the villa, there are rocks that look towards the wonderful blue of the clear sea in this part of the Adriatic, and they are surrounded by a pine forest, so that the shade where you can take a nap is within reach. , meditate or read a nice book.

Villa Mediteraneo has an ideal position on the island, with clear sea just two meters from the door, a boat tied in front of the house, a pine forest by the sea with a hammock, and when you want a good espresso, the cafe is 30 meters from the beach. In the morning, a local baker arrives in front of the cafe, bringing freshly baked warm croissants, tempting burek and, of course, bread. On most days of the week, a fish seller comes, and next to the cafe there is also a fruit shop with excellent fruits and vegetables.

From all the windows and of course from the terrace of the villa you can see the sea, the open sea and the sky and all the color changes on the horizon from dawn to dusk and the night with countless bright stars. The living room, which has sliding glass walls along the entire facade of the villa, about 3 meters high, make this house perfect for a stay that completely takes you away from everyday life and all accumulated stresses. A special advantage of this bay is its excellent position with regard to the wind. Namely, the bay is protected from storms and quite a bit from the south, so many sailors, who know about this bay, like to come and rest in it.

Due to the proximity of the sea, the mornings and afternoons are extremely pleasant with beautiful bonacs, and from 10 am to 5 pm, when the sun is strongest, a pleasant mistral is constantly blowing so that the temperature of even 40°C is not felt, that is, it is pleasant. If you add to that that you don't have to get out of your wetsuit and bathing suit and go anywhere by car, the feeling of vacation becomes magical.

Although the bay is mostly empty and quiet during the day (everyone has lunch at 12 and then "siesta":)) except for the arrival of the regular boat line around 3 pm, and at dusk you can watch from the terrace how sailboats arrive in the bay from the horizon for the night. In the eighth month, it is mostly Italian tourists, in the 7th month, the neighboring Slovenians, and Germans, Austrians, while in the 6th month, there are the most tourists from the Nordic countries. Here and there a few luxury yachts are moored in front of the villa, such as the notable Benetton.

The rooms are cold both during the day and at night due to the stone construction and being recessed into the walls, the living room has air conditioning but no one uses it because of the 2 windows and movable glass walls that turn it into an outdoor living room. There is a window in front and behind the stove, so the smells from the kitchen do not remain in the room. The apartment has a size of 80 m2 and is designed for five people, more suitable for intellectuals and artists.
