Astraea Signature Villa is a 350 sq.m. private residence near Karystos, in southern Evia, created for those who value space, privacy and the freedom to live — and work — at their own rhythm.
Designed across three levels connected by elevator, Astraea is particularly well suited to extended stays and workations. Rather than adapting a holiday property to remote work, the house brings together the comforts of a fully equipped residence with the infrastructure needed to make working away from home genuinely practical.
A dedicated workspace, reliable high-speed internet and generous indoor and outdoor areas allow work and everyday life to coexist without competing for the same space. Large screens can support presentations or collaborative sessions when required, while a backup generator capable of supporting the villa’s full electrical load, together with UPS systems, provides an additional level of continuity and reliability for remote work.
But workation at Astraea is not defined by work alone.
The day begins with uninterrupted views across the Aegean Sea from the main bedrooms — a reminder, before the first meeting or email, that life continues beyond the screen.
The entrance level is designed for the transition from focus to restoration. Alongside the living areas and workspace, a suspended fireplace creates a calm evening setting, while a high-end sound system is intended for those who genuinely enjoy music rather than simply having it in the background.
On the ground floor, a state-of-the-art kitchen becomes part of the experience for guests who love to cook. It is designed not merely for preparing meals, but for living well during longer stays — whether that means an unhurried breakfast before work, cooking with local ingredients at the end of the day, or sharing dinner after the laptop is closed.
For longer-term stays, everyday arrangements can be adapted to the practical needs of the guests. Housekeeping is provided regularly, personal laundry can be arranged, and access to certain household facilities may be adapted by agreement for genuinely long-term stays. The intention is simple: a stay of several weeks or months should feel like living in a home, rather than extending a short holiday indefinitely.
The upper floor hosts two main bedrooms with king-size beds, en-suite bathrooms and private balconies overlooking the sea and surrounding mountains. Each bedroom has its own 65-inch screen, allowing private space to remain genuinely private even during longer stays.
The entrance level also includes a children’s bedroom, terrace and Astraea’s curated collection of books, music and film, while the ground floor opens naturally towards the dining areas, barbecue, terraces and private swimming pool. A second cinematic corner and cast-iron wood-burning stove make the house equally inviting beyond the summer months.
Karystos is only minutes away, while a calm, shallow beach is within walking distance. Beyond the house lie the mountains of southern Evia, hiking trails, secluded coves, traditional villages and tavernas — places that can turn an ordinary afternoon after work into part of the experience of living here.
